Licensed Associate Counselor | National Certified Counselor
Background. I graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelors in Psychology and Integrated Marketing Communications. After completing undergrad, I earned a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling with a Clinical Mental Health Counseling concentration from Rutgers University. My past clinical experience involves working at a community mental health agency in their intensive outpatient program with individuals living with co-occurring substance use and mental health diagnoses.
Credentials and Licensing. I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in New Jersey under the supervision of Kandys Randolph, LPC, LCADC, ACS.
Areas of passion and specialty. I am passionate about working with a diverse age range of clients who are navigating life transitions and wanting to foster a deeper understanding and relationship with themselves and those around them. I have experience working with clients struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, employment, and life transitions.
Approach. I strive to create a safe and empathetic therapeutic space. I enjoy learning about each individual’s story and experience in order to create a mix of approaches that work best for them. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), person-centered, and trauma-informed approaches are among the common interventions I practice, however, I am a strong advocate for individualizing care and trying different approaches that work best for you and your goals.
