Frequently asked questions.

So what are you waiting for…?

  • In person sessions are held in Freehold or Princeton New Jersey.

  • For virtual sessions the client physically needs to be in the state that their clinician/prescriber is licensed in. We currently have counselors/prescribers licensed in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, Delaware, North Carolina, South Carolina and Massachusetts. Please note that not all of our counselors are licensed in multiple states.

  • Please be sure to complete ALL new client intake forms including, demographic, insurance information, and consent forms. We require all forms to be completed 48 hours prior to your first appointment to avoid any disruption of services.

  • Life happens, we understand that. We can switch any in-person sessions to virtual to avoid any disruption of services pending approval of your insurance company. If you do need to cancel your appointment, we do ask you to provide us with 24 hours notice. This policy enables us to ensure we have appointment availability for all clients.

  • Due to billing purposes all appointments need to start by the 15 minute mark from your appointment start time. If you realize you will be late and you are able to switch to virtual, please contact our office ASAP so we can switch your appointment. Please be advised that all insurance companies may not cover virtual sessions. Our clinicians set aside one (1) hour per week to meet with you and are unable to go over that one hour time slot.  As a result, you will be responsible for our late cancellation fee as outlined in our fee schedule as well as the informed consent for treatment which is signed prior to beginning treatment.

  • If you are looking to change your recurring talk therapy appointment, please contact our office. Our care coordinators will do their best to find another weekly opening that your current counselor has available.

  • The point of therapy is being honest about your feelings and addressing them. We want to make sure we are setting you up for success. We take pride in making sure that we match you with a clinician that best suits your needs and what you are looking to work on. Please contact the front desk and one of our care coordinators will assist you in finding another therapist.

  • Please bring an accurate history as well as any documentation from previous providers you have been to.  It is important to have a list of medications both for psychiatric and medical that you have been on currently and in the past so that we can treat you properly.  It is also helpful to bring any current lab work or test results that you have had in the last year.
