Background. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Rutgers University and my Master of Arts in Counseling from Kean University. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in school and both medically managed inpatient and intensive outpatient treatment settings. In these settings, I have provided individual, group, and family sessions.
Credentials and Licensing. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and also a New Jersey Certified School Counselor.
Areas of passion and specialty. I specialize in, including but not limited to, substance abuse, addiction and recovery, mood disorders, self-esteem, and relationships.
Approach. I like to take a creative, eclectic approach based on your needs, utilizing a variety of techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and you are at the center. My goal is to provide a safe, warm space where your individual worth is truly valued. Recognizing a need for change and asking for help are two of the hardest steps in the therapeutic process; once we meet, I will provide you with compassion, guidance, and the tools to help you achieve your goals.
