Background. I received my Masters of Social Work with a concentration in clinical practice with families and children at Monmouth University. My clinical experience has been centered on working with adults dealing with substance abuse issues as well as issues related to trauma, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem. I have also worked in a variety of treatment settings, such as residential, detox, intensive outpatient settings and outpatient treatment. I also was a program manager of a substance abuse outpatient program.
Credentials and Licensing. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a Certified Clinical Supervisor in the state of New Jersey.
Areas of passion and specialty. I primarily work with young adults with substance abuse issues, trauma and anxiety. I am passionate about working with women with trauma and self-esteem issues, as well as the LGBTQIA+ community.
Approach. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. I believe in working with my clients to find the most effective approach for meeting their needs. I also believe in providing a supportive and non-judgmental environment for all clients.
Fun Facts. I have 3 dogs and consider myself a big animal lover. I am vegan. I am also a huge fan of music and I'm a collector of vinyl records.
