Background. I received my undergraduate degree from William Paterson University with a major in psychology and a minor in sociology. Additionally, I have received my Masters in Social Work with Rutgers University. I am also a member of the NASW.
Credentials and Licensing. I'm a Licensed Social Worker in the state of New Jersey, and am currently working under the clinical supervision of Lindsey Behr, LCSW-S, LCADC.
Areas of passion and specialty. I have been fortunate enough to work with clients of all ages, but working with adolescents is my specialty. Moreover, working with clients within the LGBTQIA+ community is a great passion of mine. Additionally, I have experience working with those who experience depression, anxiety, family issues, trauma, and life transitions.
Approach. Making the choice to come to therapy may feel intimidating or overwhelming. My goal is to support you through this brave and life transformative decision. I firmly believe in creating an environment full of compassion, empathy, and patience as you embark on this journey. My therapeutic style is eclectic to meet your therapeutic needs. Therapeutic modalities I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Psycho-education, and a client-centered approach. Furthermore, I am always expanding my knowledge to help you in the best way I can. When meeting with me, my goal is to make you feel comfortable, heard, and empowered to achieve your intended goals. Therapy can truly be a beautiful process and together, let us bring light to that.
